This week was the anti racism week. In class, we worked on the concepts of integration and the fight against racism.
After many discussions and readings, the students invented a story and made a short animated film. This film is called "At the school of blond hair".
LA CLASSE D'IMMERSION D'ELISE BESSON
After reading the text Meet Martin Luther King, Jr., CE1 students wrote statements about Martin Luther King for their classmates to analyze. The students, divided into two teams, had to determine if statements written by classmates on the opposite team were true or false. It was an intense competition! Here is a sampling of the questions CE1 students prepared for this activity.
True or False?

As part of our MLK unit in CP we had our students work in pairs and write about each other's similarities and differences.. The students then illustrated their writings , took a picture and recorded themselves reading what they wrote. All 4 CP teachers did this with their students. Here are 4 examples from my CPC students.
